About the trail

The trail takes place through the Danielsrust farm, one of the largest remaining farms in the area. Presently the farm has over 700 heads of game including Blue Wildebeest, Red Hartebees, Waterbuck, Gemsbok, Zebra and much more. The running routes are available to the public during the year, but have been hand built through the farm for the Dream Trail Run, consisting of jeep track and single track.

Date and Time:

19 September 2020 – trail run starts at 7am onwards

To avoid gatherings, please arrive 15 minutes before your slot

Start venue:

Danielsrust Game Reserve, Krugersdorp

Slots available:

Limited slots are available to reduce gatherings, and limit congestion on the route

Slots will be released in staggered intervals (20 minutes apart)

Slot times will be communicated to all athletes 1 week ahead of the date

Pricing:

15km – R170

10km – R135

5km  – R85

2km kiddies fun run – free

Registration and timing:

Contactless registration will take place for athletes to collect a race bib. Timing will be manually timed based on the bib number.

Waterpoints:

No waterpoints will be available on the day. Runners/ riders are responsible for their own water, nutrition and snacks. We will provide an Energade at the finish line. No contact will take place

Vouchers:

• Energade fitness hampers will be given to the winner in each category (male and female) – these will be couriered to the winners after the Dream Trail Run takes place

• There will also be a Strava segment setup on the route, of which the winner will receive a weekend away at Dream Hotels and Resorts. Voucher to be delivered in the week after.

Please note that we abide by all COVID regulations, and permissions, and believe in people staying active, healthy and safe at all times. We will keep you as safe as possible, but the responsibility also rests in your hands so practice social distancing, and wear a mask at all times.
