Tala Collection Game Reserve

Tala Collection Game Reserve is a wildlife conservancy hidden in the hills of a quiet farming community. From being greeted by warthogs as you arrive at the reception area, to having zebras and giraffes visit you in the early morning, the Reserve offers a memorable stay for all runners/ cyclists alike. One of the most appealing aspects of this KwaZulu-Natal game reserve is its ease of accessibility, coming to or from Durban - although, once here, you’ll feel like you're a million miles away from everything.

Details

Tala Collection Game Reserve offers trail running and riding to visitors throughout the year, and operates as a fully functional bike park. However the Dream Adventure Weekend is a chance to test who is quicker around the 5km, 13km, and 26km routes, to truly deem themselves king/ queen of the mountain.

The Dream Adventure Weekend is open to trail runners, and MTB riders across 3 routes:

26km| 13km  | 5km

Date and Time:

26 September 2020 – trail run starts at 7am onwards

27 September 2020 – MTB ride starts at 7am onwards

To avoid gatherings, please arrive 15 minutes before your slot

Tala Collection Game Reserve, Camperdown, KZN

Slots available:

Limited slots are available to reduce gatherings, and limit con on the route

Slots will be released in staggered intervals (20 minutes apart)

Slot times will be communicated to all athletes 1 week ahead of the date

Pricing:

26km (trail and MTB ride) – R185

13km (trail and MTB ride) – R150

5km (trail and MTB ride) – R75

2km kiddies fun run – free

Registration and timing:

Contactless registration will take place for athletes to collect a race bib. Timing will be manually timed based on the bib.

Waterpoints:

No waterpoints will be available on the day. Runners/ riders are responsible for their own water, nutrition and snacks. We will provide an Energade at the finish line. No contact will take place

Vouchers

• Energade fitness hampers will be given to the winner in each category (male and female) – these will be couriered to the winners post Dream Adventure Weekend

• There will also be a Strava segment setup on the route, of which the winner will receive a weekend away at the Tala Collection Game Reserve. Voucher to be delivered in the week after.
